Pupil Gate lists what each named adult owes. The school can keep ParentPay, a Stripe payment link or a bank transfer, or connect its own Stripe account so parents pay inside the product without Pupil Gate becoming the merchant.

The school stays the merchant
Money moves through the school’s provider into the school’s account. We are not in the payment chain and never hold funds, so there is no new finance approval to win.
A charge belongs to an adult, not a household
Two parents can each be asked for part of the same trip. Neither of them sees the other’s balance or receipt.

Do you take a cut?+
No. We never handle the money, so there is nothing to take a cut of.
Can we keep ParentPay?+
Yes, and most schools do. Pupil Gate shows the balance and links straight out to it.
